		<description>Dr. Doom actually seems to be a tad more optimistic here, if you can call it that. His thinking is that nationalization is most likely the only answer, but because that word is apparently real scary the only choice Geithner has is to try something that has a minuscule chance of working just so he could later say he at least tried to avoid Sweden-ing. Roubini also thinks the current bullshit non-existent plan plan is going to bring us super close to a depression before we can give up and turn to nationalization later this year. Somehow that is still more optimistic than Yves Smith or Martin Wolf though.

I think Calculated Risk is onto something - just call nationalization "preprivatization" and problem solved.
